The CW announced that Javicia Leslie (God Friended Me, The Family Business) will take over the role of Batwoman from Ruby Rose in the upcoming second season. Rose walked away from the lead role at the end of season one.

Leslie will play Ryan Wilder, a new character who is to assume the role as Batwoman from Rose's Kate Kane.
