Brace yourselves for an adventure like no other, as the highly anticipated early access release of Palworld draws near.
Palword, developed and published by Pocketpair, advertises itself as an “open-world survival crafting game” with a wide range of "mysterious creatures" populating the vast landscape. Players can capture and train these "Pals," build bases, and engage in exhilarating battles between hostile factions and bosses. Palworld offers both single player and multiplayer with up to 32 players.
Worthy mention, Pocketpair shows off having farming, factories, automation, breeding and genetics game mechanics in Palworld.
The planned release of early access on Steam is set to launch on January 19, 2023 at midnight PST (Pacific Standard Time, UTC -8). Grabbing yourself a copy of Palworld at early release will run you back by $29.99 USD.
According to Pocketpair in their Early Access FAQ, Palworld will be on the Xbox Game Pass and the Xbox Game Pass for PC. However, crossplay between Xbox and Steam players will not be available at launch. They plan to work on crossplay, "as soon as possible."
PvP will also not be supported at launch. Internal testing is being done for PvP with them, "experimenting with different approaches. We want to find the right type of PvP that fits Palworld and when it is ready, we will share news with you all."
Palworld does support controllers on PC.
