NASA's Juno spacecraft has traveled 1.7 billion miles to reach its mission destination, Planet Jupiter.

A NASA New Frontiers mission launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on August 5, 2011 and will arrive on July 4, 2016.

Its task: to study Jupiter's composition, gravity & magnetic fields, and search for clues about how Jupiter was formed.
