After a few months of community input on a new name, 1047 Games rested on Splitgate: Arena Warfare as the official title for their current development project, which was formerly known as Wormhole Wars. The development team asked for community suggestions back in April.

A new action-pack trailer was published along with the rebranding, showcasing a more polished look to the game design.

This multiplayer first person shooter can best be summarized as a hybrid of Microsoft's Halo, Valve's Portal, and Epic Games' Unreal Tournament. Choose from five different game-modes: Free-For-All Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Domination, and Teabag Confirmed. Players develop their own strategies on how to use portals to get the advantage over their opponents.

Splitgate: Arena Warfare is currently in its alpha stage, being developed using the Unreal Engine. Playtests happen every few weeks, however an alpha key is needed to participate. Alpha keys are given out at random on their Twitter feed and Twitch streams.
