The Fortnite team announced today, via Epic Games website, that they're getting involved in Fortnite competitive play. "Since the launch of Fortnite Battle Royale we've watched the passion for community competition grow and can't wait to empower you to battle with the best."

Epic Games plans on being "more inclusive, and focused on the joy of playing and watching the game." With the company setting aside 100 million dollars to help fund prize pools for community tournaments in the 2018 - 2019 competitive season.

Epic Games set to announce more information regarding eligible platforms and competitive structures in the upcoming weeks.
